நட்பிற்க்கு உறுப்பாவது நண்பனுடைய உரிமைச் செயலாகும், அந்த உரிமைச் செயலுக்கு உடன்பட்டவராதல் சான்றோரின் கடமையாகும்.

நண்பர்கள் உரிமையுடன் செய்வதே நட்பிற்கு உறுப்பாகும். அவ்வுரிமையை எண்ணி மகிழ்வதே சான்றோர்க்கு நீதியாகும்.

பழைமையான நண்பர்களின் உரிமையைப் பாராட்டுகிற சான்றோர்க்குரிய கடமைதான் உண்மையான நட்புக்கு அடையாளமாகும்
